The format of the day is very informal with lots of short talks. Refereshments and lunch will be provided. There will be a dinner after the last talk (details TBA).

Reaching the campus

The Highfield campus can be reached easily from either Southampton Central or Southampton Airport Parkway train stations. The Unilink bus service (http://www.unilinkbus.co.uk/service.shtml) runs regular bus services from both stations.

The meeting will be held in the chemistry department. Enter through building 30 and follow signs. The map below shows the location of the bus stops and the Chemistry building itself.

Transport Information

The campus is well served by public transport with the Unilink U1A running regularly from Southampton Central station and the city centre and the U1C running to the campus from the Southampton Airport Parkway railway station. Below we have provided some basic information to help you plan your journey. For more detailed information.

Reaching us by train

Trains run regularly from Southampton Central and Airport Parkway stations to locations all over the UK including London, Manchester, Reading and Bournemouth. For more information see www.nationalrail.co.uk.

Arriving by Plane

Southampton Airport, located just 15 minutes from the campus provides links into continental Europe (including Amsterdam Schippol for long haul flights) as well as domestic flights within the UK. Heathrow and Gatwick are also relatively near and can be reached either by rail (see www.nationalrail.co.uk) or by coach (see http://www.nationalexpress.com)
